St John Church: On the way to McLeod Ganj from Palampur lies the Church of St. John in the Wilderness on the right side of the road, just 1.5 km before McLeod Ganj. It is one of the major attractions in the region and remains flocked by visitors to view the amazing attractive views and the marvelous style of the Church. The Church of St. John was rebuilt in the year 1929.

Tea Plantation:  Vast tea gardens are seen throughout Palampur also known as the tea capital of North India. This plantation that is spread over several acres of land is the major means of employment for the people of Palampur. Lush gardens with the surroundings of Dhauladhar Range add to the charm of Palampur.

Saurabh Van Vihar: Named after an Indian army officer, the Van Vihar is one of the most popular tourist places to visit in Palampur. This area is most popular for being the habitat of over 151 species of flora and fauna. The children’s park, picnic sheds, OAT, Bamboosetum, and the Tiger Hill Bridge in the park are great ways to spend your time. Apart from nature walks, boating, birdwatching, and bouldering can be enjoyed here.

Bundlamata Temple: Bundlamata Temple is situated at a short distance of 2 km from Palampur in a small village, Bundla.This temple is considered one of the oldest temples in the city and the most sacred site in the region. The temple is nestled amid swanky emerald picturesque Tea Gardens and lurching hillsides, which intensify its beauty. 

Neugal Khad: The river flows over pearly white pebbles and is a great picnic spot. The sparkling water that flows in this 300m wide stream is an eye-catching tourist location for getting the best clicks of your vacation and just sit back and relive the beauty of the landscape. The bridge spanning the river is unique and there are walking bridges, lakes, and jungle parks in this area.

Wah Tea Estate: Wah Tea Estate is the ancestral tea garden of the Prakash family. The estate itself is sprawling and looks beautiful. 

Al-Hilal: Al-Hilal is well known as a popular tourist destination that provides beautiful sights of snow-flanked Dhauladhar ranges.Singh.There is a guest house and Taragarh Fort located close to this place.

Dhauladhar National Park:Dhauladhar National Park, is an animal zoo, that is Blessed with rich flora and fauna, this park is a home to different types of deer, red fox, sambhar, Asiatic lion, angora rabbits, black bears, and leopards. It is also known as Gopalpur Zoo and is a prominent tourist attraction in the city of Palampur. 

Tashi Jong Monastery:Palampur, Kangra is one of the top Tourist Attractions in Palampur, which is located in Tashi Jong village. The main feature of the monastery is that it appears to be more like a community than a religious center. It is a very quiet and serene location.

Kangra Valley: Kangra Valley is a river valley situated in the Western Himalayas. One can enjoy the picturesque beauty of the Dhauladhar range and the hills of the Kangra valley from Palampur.

Norbulingka Institute: The Norbulingka Institute is a center for practicing and fostering Tibetan art and crafts.Norbulingka Institute is named after ‘Norbulingka Jewel Garden’ in Tibet; the summer palace of the 14th Dalai Lama. With a spirit of tranquility, it is a peaceful retreat with lush gardens and amazingly long streams.

Bir: Also known as Bir Billing, bewitching and breath-taking beauty treasures. Bir-Billing is a Paragliding destination in the heart of the Himalayas near the famous tourist destination Palampur in Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the most famous destinations for adventure sports.Bir is also famous for its Tibetan colony and various Buddhist monasteries which are worth visiting.

Triund: Located at a height of 2842 m above sea level, Triund is a famous camping ground on the trekking spot to Indrahar Pass. With breathtaking views of the Kangra valley and the snow-covered Dhauladhar ranges, it is also very picturesque and takes 4-5 hours to reach the top. The trek can easily be covered over a weekend.

Jwalamukhi Temple: Jwalamukhi Temple, also known as Jwalaji, is one of the Shakti Peethas.The temple is situated overlooking the Dhauladhar range and set amidst undulating hills. According to Hindu mythology, when Lord Vishnu cut through the corpse of Sati, her tongue fell off the corpse in this area. This is believed to be the first ever temple built by the Pandavas and the Pandavas are regarded to have visited this sacred place. Many tourists come here to attend prayers and to enjoy scenic views in the backdrop of this temple.
