Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh, is a village located in the west of the Joginder Nagar Valley in the northern region of India. It is generally referred to as the “Paragliding Capital of India” and is an area of ecotourism, spiritual studies, and meditation. It is the home of a Tibetan refugee camp as well as several monasteries. Actually, Billing is launched and Bir Village is landing, together known as “Bir Billing ”.

The first paragliding world cup of India was held here at Bir Billing. This was back in October 2015.” During the world cup top 150 ranked pilots from all over the world participated along with 500 free flying pilots. Many local paragliding pilots in all had a chance to prove their abilities and splash on the World stage.

Bir is 70 km from Mcleodganj and Dharamshala Located 14 km northwards of it, Billing is the front stage for treks to Thamsar Passing. Trek will take us to the remotest tribal region, Bada Bhangal of Himachal Pradesh. Bir is a predominantly Buddhist town home to both a monastery and the Tibetan handicraft center.
