On the Hamirpur-Awa Devi Road is the Tauni Devi Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Tauni, who is thought to be the sister of Goddess Durga. 12 kilometres separate Hamirpur from the temple. The locals of the area hold this 200-year-old temple in high regard. Every year in the month of Ashran (June–July), the temple holds a fair that draws visitors from all over the state.

Awah Devi Temple, a 250-year-old shrine, is located 24 kilometres from Hamirpur town. The holy temple is perched atop a hill that is thought to be Hamirpur’s highest point. The breathtaking surroundings add to this location’s beauty. A small number of residents worship Jalpa Devi as their clan’s deity, Kul Devi. Additionally, a sizable number of Hindu devotees swarm the temple to obtain the goddess’ blessing and grant their wishes.

One of the well-known Hindu temples is Narvadeshwar Temple. In Tira Sujanpur, there is a temple dedicated to Narvadeshwar. The temple has been an open-air initiation. The Narvadeswar Temple was constructed for the Queen of Maharaja Sansar Chand. The King built it, with Shri Naravdeshwar on the other side facing the Beas River and Bansiwala (for Lord Krishna) on one side of the ground. Designers who were courtiers to the king created appealing and graphic depictions of the Bhagwat Purana, Shri Ramayana, and Shri Mahabharta.

Tira Sujanpur In Himachal Pradesh, the Murli Manohar temple is situated about 22 kilometres from Hamirpur town and 41 kilometres from Jwalamukhi. Murli Manohar Temple is located directly across from the Chaugan of Sujanpur Tira. Sansar Chand constructed it in 1785 CE in honour of his mother. A stunning, lifelike carving of Bhagavan Sri Krishna made from a single Shaligram, as well as an image of Radha Rani, can be found in the sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha).

Sujanpur Tira, a palace fort, is located 22 kilometers from Hamirpur town and touches the Kangra border. Raja Abhay Chand of the Kangra Katoch dynasty constructed the fort in 1758. Sujanpur Tira continued to serve as the Katoch dynasty’s capital for more than a century. Raja Sansar Chand, who is credited with being the patron of the miniature paintings produced by the Kangra School in the early 19th century, lived in the fort at the same time.

Jawala Ji or Jwala Devi temple is one of India’s 51 Shaktipeeths and is regarded as one of the most sacred Shakti temples in the country. It is located in the “Kalidhar” valley of the Shivalik range in Kangra. This is thought to be the first temple the Pandavas have ever constructed. Jwala Ji is a temple in Jawala Mukhi, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, dedicated to the “GODDESS OF LIGHT.”

A prominent Hindu deity revered in the northern Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, J&K, etc. is Sidh Baba Balak Nath. “Deothsidh” is the name of his shrine.

The massive hydroelectric dam at Bhakra created the Gobind Sagar on the Sutlej River, which was named in honor of Gobind Singh, the Tenth Sikh Guru. The Bhakra is one of the tallest gravity dams in the world, rising 225.5 m above its base. Today, this dam supplies water and electricity to a sizable area. The Gobind Sagar reservoir is 90 kilometers long and covers an area of about 170 square kilometers.

One of the many forms of the Supreme Goddess Durga is Mata Chintpurni Devi. She is also known as Maa Chinnamasta or Maa Chinnamastika in this form, which means “the one with a detached head.” Humans have insatiable desires, which lead to worry and anxiety.
