Nako Village

One of the most visited Buddhist monasteries in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Tourists and pilgrims come from Kinnaur to visit this remote village close to the Hangrang Valley.

A small beautiful lake at an elevation of n 3,613 meters (11, 929 ft) in the Kinnaur district is one of the most popular and highly rated tourist attractions of the region. The lake is an integral part of the Nako village, which is created on the slopes of other Reo Pyrgyal mountains in the Srikhand range. The Himalayan views from here are most beautiful and amazing.

The place gives treats to adventure seekers and nature lovers.  The pass is punctuated with landslides, gushing water, and complete chaos.

Chango is a village in Pooh Tehsil in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh State. The town is a popular tourist spot since there are great facilities available for trekking and other sports

Khab is a small village in Himachal Pradesh. This bridge is situated on the world’s most treacherous road. One can witness the confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers. One of the best places for photography and videography.

Chango Gompa is famous for its 500-year-old prayer wheel, made of yak skin. It is 3.5 meters in diameter. It is situated on the top of the village, from where you can see the view of Chango village.

Nestled deep within the Trans-Himalayan cold desert of the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh is the small village of Gue, which is relatively unknown and unheard of in the traveler’s circuit. The village of Gue is situated at an altitude of around 10,499 feet above sea level and is only a few kilometers away from the Indo-China border. Gue village also houses India’s only known naturally preserved mummy.

Dhankar Gompa is a Gompa, a Buddhist temple, and also a village in the district of Lahaul and Spiti in India. The Dhankar of Spiti Valley is one of the most captivating landmarks of Spiti Valley with an awe-inspiring environment and surroundings. You can also see Buddhist scriptures in the Bhoti language, protector deities, murals of Medicine Buddha, and Buddhist thangkas.

Kalpa is a small town in the Kinnaur district that is nestled in the Sutlej river valley, making it an ideal vacation spot.  Kalpa is considered a paradise destination for nature lovers.

Reckong Peo is also the commercial and administrative center of the Kinnaur district, as the biggest market in the entire district is located here, and all important government as well as administrative offices are located at Reckong Peo. 

This is an ancient temple situated in Chinni village, Kalpa. This temple is very old, and the architecture is awesome. You must visit it; this temple is one of the major attractions of the village.

The suicide point is located on the road connecting Kalpa with Roghi. The surroundings of this point are so amazing that people are forced to call it a suicide point. The dangerous trench and vertical slopes are the highlights of this place. Also, the breathtaking mountain scenery gives travelers a taste of height and turns their experience into something more interesting.

Kungri Gompa is located in the Pin Valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is the only monastery belonging to the Nyingmapa order of Buddhism. Kungri is the second oldest monastery, built around 1330 in the Spiti.

 It is the biggest monastery in Spiti Valley and a religious training center for Lamas. The best place to experience the life of monks is India.

Kibber is famous for several things: a monastery, Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, the highest post office in the world, and a destination with the highest motorable road.

Rakcham Chitkul Sanctuary is a popular attraction in Kinnaur and is located at a height of 5,500 meters. It is considered a heaven for trekkers and nature lovers.
